Originally from northern parts of Africa, the Aoudad (also known as the Barbary Sheep) were introduced to Texas back in the 1950's. The Aoudad is an extremely resilient animal that has had no troubles adapting and thriving in the rocky and trecherous terrain of West Texas.
Burton's Hunting Service offers year around Aoudad hunts in some of the most beautifully rugged country Texas has to offer! These rams are totally free range, wild and offer a unique challenge to hunters.
The Aoudad is not regulated by the state so no tag is required (other than your general TX hunting license) and any legal method of choice can be used year around to hunt. Rams can be hunted from a blind over a water hole, from the "mobile blind" or spot and stalk.

All hunts are booked in advance. Most of our hunts require a 50% non-refundable deposit. All hunts are non-refundable, unless hunter can be replaced at full price. If cancellation occurs it is up to the hunter to find his or her replacement. Hunt prices do not include Texas hunting license.
